It's a Runners World

So after having not run for 23 days, I went again.  2 miles.  Not too bad of a time considering my layoff.  However, later this evening I dropped a chalkboard on my foot, so now I'm hurting, but not cause of the running.

Winter Wonderland

Only yesterday I was walking around outside between the campus buildings without a coat on.  Today the high is in the low teens and I haven't even ventured out due to the snow and blowing.  There currently is a large snow drift down our driveway starting at our garage door.  This is pretty typical due to the way our block sits.  Every year we've had the snow come howling down the block, swirl around our garage and then stop for me to shovel.  Luckily for me this year, my brother has left me his snowblower!  I'm pumped to use it, but right now it is pointless as the wind is blowing so strongly yet.  After a check of the Iowa DOT website, all the roads in NW IA are closed, not just covered, but closed.  The snow plows have been pulled and there is a towing ban currently.  Guess it's a good thing we got groceries last night and have decided to hunker down in our warm house.  I just got done reviewing Rebecca's webpage that she designed for her class.  It covers her Piano lessons business and we will be purchasing a domain, probably via go daddy, so that others can access the webpage.  So far this day Rebecca has done some cleaning and I have done some cooking.  I've made taco meat for Sunday night at the Deek's and some Chex Mix and other Christmas type candies.  Rebecca has cleaned the bathroom and vacuumed the house.  She's now on her schoolwork again.  Whereas I have more candies to make and then I may read.  I'm reading "The Mediterranean Caper" by Clive Cussler.  It is part of the Dirk Pitt series.  OK, enough for now.  I'll type again when I feel so moved.
